| Burnhouse lochan fishery is situated in the heart of rural Scotland. This picturesque valley was dammed and flooded back in 1997, offering fishermen 3.5 acres of mature sporting opportunities. The water is supplied by the fast flowing Skipperton burn which originates from a spring in the Castlecarry Wood. Guaranteed quality water allows first class fishing all year round. The average depth of water is 11ft with the shallowest wild-life bay in the south and the deepest water is 18ft at the north end of the dam. There are 10 casting platforms with a two man boat for hire. The fishery is stocked on a daily basis with fighting fit quality Rainbows from 2lb to 22lbs. Stocked Browns up to 8lbs, plus natural Wild Brown Trout are regularly returned along with stocked Blue Trout. A full time Ghillie is constantly on hand to give sound help and advice. |
Facilities include the use of a Swiss style Lochan Bothy with a clean toilet and full catering kitchen.
